Are double glazed windows easy to break?

Double glazing is extremely resistant, which means it would require extreme force to break. First, let’s talk about the structure of the glass – the construction isn’t as simple as it once was. Double glazed glass is treated and toughened, so it’s resistant to shock, weather and breaking by human force – e.g. throwing a ball at it.

Secondly, the reason is in the name – it’s double glaze. This means that there are two panes of glass to get through in order for the glass to break. Even if the first pane of glass is somehow broken, the second pane still stands.
